Installation

Let's get wired up

1. Mount the rack-rails optional

The server mounting rails consist of separate outer and inner rails. Follow these steps to rackmount your server

  1. Mount the ourter rack-rails in your rack
  2. Attach the inner rails on the server
  3. Slide the system in the rails

The switch has mounting-ears that you can screw on.

2. Connect power-cables

Connect the server and switch with the provided powercables.
Supported powerratings:
220V ~ 50Hz
110V ~ 60Hz

3. Connect the M-interface

Connect the management interface with your network so you can control the system using our software from your computer.

4. Connect the ByteBlower Switch

Plug into the T (trunk) interface.

Connect the switch with the server using the fibre cable

Plug into interface NM-4SFP+ port 1.

5. Connect the traffic port optional

Connect your NT interface to your backbone testing network.

6. Power up the system

Hit the button and let the system boot

Configure

Your system comes pre-configured by us.
But if needed you can make some configuration changes

Start sending traffic

Now you are ready to start sending traffic. You can control the ByteBlower with our UI or start scripting in python or tcl thanks to our API
